MALKERNS– Eswatini is preparing for what could become one of its biggest food and entertainment celebrations after organisers unveiled South African music heavyweights Ringo Madlingozi and Emtee as the first headline acts for the inaugural Eswatini Kota Festival.
Set for 24 October 2026 at Malkerns Country Club, the all-day festival will run from 10am to 10pm, promising an exciting fusion of live music, mouth-watering kota creations and an unforgettable family-friendly atmosphere.
The announcement has already generated excitement among music lovers, with legendary Afro-pop icon Ringo Madlingozi expected to deliver his signature soulful classics, while award-winning rapper Emtee is set to bring his energetic, chart-topping hits that have earned him a loyal following across Southern Africa.
Organised by GoldEx Events in partnership with Nyama Choma Spices, the festival aims to celebrate not only the beloved South African street-food favourite but also the region’s vibrant entertainment culture. Organisers say this is only the beginning, with more artists expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Early bird tickets have officially gone on sale, with general admission priced at E150 for adults, E100 for students and E80 for children. Family packages start from E200, while VIP tickets cost E800, offering exclusive benefits including reserved seating, secure parking and a complimentary kota. Parking will be available at E50.
To ensure a smooth experience, organisers have announced that the event will operate on a cashless payment system, encouraging patrons to bring their bank cards. Camp chairs will be allowed, while only empty cooler boxes will be permitted, with a beverage pre-order service expected to open on 20 September 2026.
Festival-goers have also been reminded that outside food, drinks, filled cooler boxes and hubbly devices will not be permitted. No tickets will be sold at the gate, and there will be no pass-outs after 7pm.
With two crowd-pulling artists already confirmed, anticipation continues to grow as Eswatini eagerly awaits the next wave of performer announcements for what promises to be an unforgettable Kota Festival experience.
