MBABANE The Eswatini music scene is celebrating a major milestone as the “Siyabonga Gogo Remix” by Sancheziey featuring Lodanda, Young Zesh and the Limkokwing Choir surpasses 125 000 views on YouTube.

Since its release on 19 December 2025, the remix has captivated audiences locally and beyond, steadily climbing in popularity.

The track has become a cultural phenomenon, combining the legendary Lodanda’s emotive vocals, Young Zesh’s contemporary rap flows, and the Limkokwing Choir’s rich, harmonic textures. This blend bridges generations and musical styles, creating a vibrant sound that honours Eswatini’s heritage while pushing creative boundaries.

Reflecting on the achievement, Sancheziey expressed heartfelt appreciation: “I have truly run out of words. Even a simple thank you to my fans does not feel like enough, considering the incredible support they have shown me.”

Encouraged by this milestone, the producer is already working on a follow-up hit titled Halala, aimed at celebrating shared musical journeys. Additionally, he is developing a cultural birthday track, Khula Ngendlela Yakho, designed to infuse traditional rhythms into celebrations across the Kingdom.

The remix’s inception was inspired by a Limkokwing Choir performance during their 2025 graduation ceremony. Sancheziey was struck by the choir’s spiritual depth and unique texture, prompting a professional studio recording to preserve and share the experience.

A highlight of the remix is Lodanda’s participation. The revered singer returned to the studio for the first time since 2015, marking an eight-year hiatus and creating a memorable moment for fans. Young Zesh adds a modern hip-hop edge, complementing the choir and Lodanda’s vocals with contemporary flows, producing a track that resonates across generations.

The success of the “Siyabonga Gogo Remix” demonstrates the power of collaboration, authenticity and respect for cultural roots. It showcases the growing appetite for high-quality local productions that celebrate Eswatini’s musical identity and heritage.

As the views continue to soar, the project stands as a testament to the vibrancy and potential of Eswatini’s music industry, inspiring local artists to innovate while staying grounded in tradition.
