MANZINI – The Big Bend Branch of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) has launched its inaugural Half Marathon, with the race scheduled to take place at Siphofaneni on September 19, 2026.
The event was officially launched on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the SNAT Centre, where SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini and Athletics Eswatini (AE) President Zakhele Dlamini briefed the media on the significance of the new sporting initiative.
The Half Marathon is expected to provide an opportunity for athletes and members of the public to participate in competitive road running while promoting fitness and healthy living within the community.
The inaugural event will feature three race categories, namely the 21-kilometre Half Marathon, 10-kilometre race and 5-kilometre race.
Entry fees have been set at E200 for the 21km, E170 for the 10km and E80 for the 5km.
Organisers said registration details and logistics would be communicated shortly.
