MANZINI- South African theatre practitioner and Co-Director Thulani Mtsetfwa has confirmed that he is in Eswatini ahead of the much-anticipated “The Gods Are Not To Blame” Open Live Show scheduled for Saturday, 4 July at the Mbabane Theatre Club.
In a video shared on Facebook, Mtsetfwa announced his arrival in the country and confirmed that he is ready for the upcoming performance. Although he kept his message brief, he encouraged members of the public to make their way to the show and be part of the experience. “I am in the country and ready for the show,” Mtsetfwa said in the video, while calling on audiences to also be present for the production.
Mtsetfwa’s arrival adds excitement to the build-up of the production, which brings together creative talents from Eswatini and South Africa. The show will feature South African musician DaMabusa, alongside Eswatini creatives including Play Director Siphosethu Sibandze and MC and Poet Christian Maz.
“The Gods Are Not To Blame” Open Live Show promises an afternoon of theatre, music, and poetry, offering audiences an opportunity to experience a collaboration that celebrates storytelling and performance.
The production is set to take place at the Mbabane Theatre Club on Saturday, 4 July, from 15:00hrs to 17:00hrs. Entrance is E100, with members of the public invited to support the arts and witness the live performance.
As preparations continue, the arrival of Mtsetfwa and DaMabusa has heightened anticipation for the show, with organisers encouraging theatre lovers and entertainment enthusiasts to be part of the event.
