MBABANE– Jonathan Muvindi, CEO of Wirespeed Systems Academy, urged organisations to strengthen their digital defences and embrace data driven innovation during a session at Hilton Garden Inn. The event comes as Eswatini observes Cybersecurity Awareness Month, highlighting the growing importance of protecting digital infrastructure.
Muvindi explained that the rapid expansion of digital systems, devices, and platforms has increased vulnerabilities, making organisations more susceptible to attacks. “The sophistication of IT systems brings both opportunities and risks,” he said, noting that cybercriminals exploit even the smallest gaps in organisational ICT environments. Wirespeed Systems assists clients across Africa by implementing processes, tools, and systems to defend against these threats.
He also emphasised the importance of data management and advanced analytics. Organisations can organise, analyse, and extract insights from data using warehouses, data lakes, and machine learning techniques.
