MAlKERNS– The excitement surrounding the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival continues to reach new heights as organisers unveil another heavyweight for the 2026 entertainment line-up. Grammy Award-winning artist, producer and songwriter Zakes Bantwini is the latest star confirmed to perform at the highly anticipated festival, adding even more anticipation ahead of the August celebration.
Known for his signature fusion of Afro-house, dance music and soulful storytelling, Bantwini has become one of Africa’s most celebrated musical exports. His addition to the Luju line-up promises festivalgoers an electrifying performance filled with chart-topping hits and world-class stage production.
The South African music icon has enjoyed an illustrious career that has produced global favourites including Juju, Osama and the Grammy Award-winning Bayethe. Widely recognised as one of the pioneers of the Durban Kwaito Music sound, Bantwini has consistently pushed creative boundaries while earning international acclaim for his innovative approach to African music.

His announcement comes as the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival steadily unveils a star-studded line-up for its eighth edition, building excitement among music lovers eager to experience one of Southern Africa’s premier lifestyle festivals.
Set to take place from August 1 to 2 at House On Fire in Malkerns, this year’s festival carries the theme “A Return to the African Future.” Beyond the music, attendees can look forward to an immersive celebration of African food, fashion, art and culture, with this year’s culinary focus centred on Nguni Foodways.
