Eswatini’s own Lyrikal Busta is set to drop his latest single Mtukulu, featuring South African award-winning artist Intabayasedubai, on September 26, 2025. The highly anticipated track blends the nostalgic Sophiatown sound with modern Afropiano beats, offering listeners both a dance anthem and a meaningful message.
According to Lyrikal Busta, the song is more than just music—it’s a story of unity, determination, and hope. “The song narrates a situation where an old man encourages his grandson to play the track on repeat, as it brings back memories of the old days. It’s nostalgic, energetic, and something that everyone, young and old, can vibe to this December,” he explained.
The collaboration with Intabayasedubai carries special significance. Beyond their past success with 365 Days, which amassed over a million streams, this new project aims to bridge cultures and speak against social divisions. “I had to feature Intabayasedubai to also convey a message of unity amongst Africans, especially during these times of xenophobic attacks,” Lyrikal Busta emphasized.
Reflecting on the creative journey, he shared the impact of working alongside the celebrated South African star: “Working on the song was an amazing experience. I learned so much from Intabayasedubai, and together we created something that not only entertains but inspires.”
As the release date approaches, Lyrikal Busta has a message for his fans: “I would encourage all emaSwati to share the news and, most importantly, stream Mtukulu as we promise nothing but top-tier quality of Eswatini music.”
