MBABANE – The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office has presented Certificates of Appreciation to Taiwanese partners in recognition of their enduring friendship and unwavering support for Eswatini, while confirming that a consignment of donated items is expected to arrive in the Kingdom before Christmas.
The recognition took place during a virtual Google Meet engagement between officials from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office and their Taiwanese counterparts. Despite the physical distance, the online meeting reflected the strong and longstanding diplomatic relationship that continues to unite the two nations through humanitarian assistance and development cooperation.
The certificates were awarded as a gesture of gratitude for Taiwan’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable emaSwati through various initiatives that have positively impacted communities across the country. Officials described the partnership as one built on mutual trust, shared values and a common vision of improving the quality of life for those in need.
During the engagement, it was confirmed that donated items from Taiwan are currently being prepared for shipment to Eswatini. The consignment is expected to arrive before Christmas, allowing the necessary clearance and logistical processes to be completed ahead of distribution.
Beneficiaries are expected to receive the donated items during the early months of next year, ensuring that the assistance reaches those who need it most. The donation is expected to complement ongoing government efforts to support vulnerable households and improve social welfare across the Kingdom.
