MBABANE – The University of Eswatini has introduced revised entry requirements for the Faculty of Consumer Sciences, opening doors wider for aspiring students and creating new opportunities for higher education access.
The updated criteria now allow applicants with a minimum D grade in English Language to qualify for admission into all Bachelor programmes within the faculty. This move follows similar adjustments recently introduced in the Faculties of Agriculture, Science and Engineering, signalling the university’s continued commitment to expanding access to tertiary education.
In another encouraging development, students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Textile and Apparel Design and Management (TADM) can now be admitted with a D grade in Mathematics, making the programme more accessible to talented and creative learners eager to build careers in the textile and fashion industries.
These changes are expected to empower more young people to pursue their academic ambitions, while strengthening the pipeline of skilled graduates ready to contribute to Eswatini’s economic growth and innovation.
Prospective students are encouraged to submit their applications online and explore the 2026/2027 Prospectus, now available on the university’s application portal. The revised requirements highlight UNESWA’s forward-looking approach to education and its dedication to helping students forge their own path toward a brighter future.
