MANZINI– Local musicians De Mvu and Sam’K are preparing to release a new single titled Kuyabandza at the end of the month, adding a love ballad to their growing catalogue of music.
The upcoming release explores the emotions that come with missing a loved one who is away from home, whether travelling, at work or separated by other commitments. Through its lyrics, the song reflects on longing for the presence of someone special while celebrating the strength of love despite distance.
According to the artists, Kuyabandza is written to resonate with both men and women, portraying experiences that many couples face in everyday life. Rather than focusing on heartbreak, the song seeks to promote love, commitment and emotional connection between partners.
The announcement comes just weeks after the release of Hallelujah, a gospel collaboration by De Mvu and Emzee Martian. Released earlier this month on YouTube, the song shifts away from romantic themes and instead delivers a message of gratitude and praise.
In Hallelujah, the artists thank God for guiding their musical journey, keeping their Luveve team united and for the support they continue to receive from their audience. The song reflects their belief that their achievements are a result of faith and divine favour, while recognising the role fans have played in their growth.
The contrasting themes of the two songs highlight the versatility of De Mvu, who continues to experiment with different styles and messages.
