Mavula- “Our country is governed through the Tinkhundla system of government, which by extension includes our royal kraals and imiphakatsi. In all we do, we should not leave our imiphakatsi behind.”
These were the remarks made by Mayiwane Inkhundla Member of the parliament as he announced the successful fencing of Mavula Umphakatsi following the receipt of fencing material from the Government of Eswatini.
The fencing project forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and improve infrastructure at local community centres, ensuring that imiphakatsi remain safe and well-maintained for the benefit of residents.
“We are pleased to inform the community that yesterday we received fencing material from our government to fence Mavula Umphakatsi as part of our efforts to strengthen security around our imiphakatsi. We are very grateful for this assistance from our government,” Dlamini said.
The leadership further revealed that significant progress has already been made in upgrading community facilities.
“We have now fenced two of our five imiphakatsi, and the remaining ones will follow,” added the member of the Parliament.
The initiative demonstrates the government’s continued commitment to strengthening grassroots governance under the Tinkhundla system while improving community infrastructure and security. Community members have been encouraged to remain patient as development projects continue across the remaining imiphakatsi.
