MANZINI – K Xplosive and Mpex Yo Man have released their new single “Bandz In Case” on April 15, 2026, marking a fresh collaboration in the local hip hop scene.
The track brings together two artists from different backgrounds, blending Kasi rap with trap to create a commercial yet authentic sound. The song, recorded at Samaritan Records and mixed and mastered by Ghetto Villah, reflects themes of ambition, survival and financial stability.
K Xplosive, born Thanducolo Mlondi Sifundza, is a 29-year-old rapper and producer from Shewula in the Lubombo Region. Known for his explosive production style, he draws inspiration from producers such as 808 Melo and Southside. His sound combines hip hop, trap and drill, often with cinematic elements.
Mpex Yo Man, born Mpendulo Mahlalela, is a 34-year-old rapper based in Manzini. He began his music journey in 2008 and gained early exposure after performing at Simunye Fun Fair, where he shared the stage with regional acts. Influenced by artists such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and KO, he has built a career as a rapper, songwriter and producer.
The collaboration between the two artists developed at Samaritan Records, where they formed a working relationship and later decided to create a joint project. “We wanted to build something new that represents our identity and culture,” they said.
“Bandz In Case” is part of their upcoming extended playlist titled “Money, Power and Respect”, which focuses on themes of hustle and self-improvement. The artists describe the project as a reflection of everyday realities, where financial stability plays a central role in survival and success.
The single is currently available on major streaming platforms, including YouTube. The artists have also confirmed plans to shoot a music video for the track at the end of June 2026.
The release highlights continued collaboration within Eswatini’s music industry, as artists explore new sounds while addressing issues relevant to young people.
