MBABANE – Eswatini’s international sensation, Lady Sphesh, continues her dominant run across the continental awards circuit.
Fresh off her historic victories in Zambia and Nigeria, the songstress has now secured two prestigious nominations for the Shining Stars Africa Awards 2026.
The artist, born Siphesihle Shongwe, has been nominated in the following major categories:
- Best Star Female Artist of the Year 2025/26.
- Best Star Songwriter of the Year 2025/26.
The Shining Stars Africa Awards celebrate excellence and creativity across the African continent. This year, the excitement culminates in Kigali, Rwanda, where the Grand Gala Night is scheduled to take place on March 7, 2026.
Following the close of nominations on February 7, the race for the trophies has officially intensified. Lady Sphesh’s dual nomination places her among the elite creators in Africa.
Supporters are urged to rally behind the “Sikhiya Senhliziyo” hitmaker to bring these awards home to Eswatini. While initially slated for earlier in the month, the voting period officially began on February 12, 2026.
