MBABANE– Putso is set to release his new EP “UMKHULEKO” on April 25, 2026.
The project signals a clear shift in the artist’s identity and creative direction. Formerly known as Putso De Vocalist, he has dropped the stage name as part of a broader personal transformation. The new EP reflects a more introspective approach, focusing on faith, growth and responsibility.
“UMKHULEKO”, which means “prayer”, is built around themes of spiritual reflection and personal change. The artist uses the project to express his journey as a man seeking guidance and stability, while balancing the demands of life and fatherhood. The five-track EP presents a narrative that moves between struggle, hope and belief.
Putso said the project is rooted in his lived experiences and desire for improvement. “This project is my prayer. I am asking God not to leave me while I am still trying to become a better man and build a better life for my children,” he said. The statement reflects the tone of the EP, which prioritises honesty and emotional depth.
The project also brings together a mix of local and international influences. It features collaborations with artists from Nigeria and Ghana, alongside Eswatini-based talent. These contributions add range to the sound while maintaining a consistent message centred on resilience and faith.
The tracklist includes “Umkhuleko”, “Siphiwo Sami”, “Love at First Sight” featuring Nana Bullet and Osi, “Ngibambe”, and “Emanga” featuring Lastborn HR. Each song contributes to a broader narrative about personal development and spiritual grounding.
