MBABANE— The countdown is on, the kota cravings are building, and South African music legend Ringo Madlingozi has a date with Eswatini fans, confirming that he will take the stage at 3pm at the Eswatini Kota Festival on October 24 at Malkerns Country Club.
With only days left before the festival, Madlingozi has personally assured fans that his long-promised visit to the Kingdom is finally happening, adding to the excitement surrounding the music and food celebration expected to draw crowds from across the country.
“As you know that I always said I’m coming, I’m coming to Eswatini on the 24th of October. Malkerns Country Club on the 24th of October. At exactly 3 o’clock, we’re going to the Kota Festival. Kota Festival. 3 o’clock, if you’re not there, I’m on stage 3 o’clock. Cheers,” said Madlingozi in a video message confirming his appearance.
His announcement gives festivalgoers a clear time to look forward to, with the veteran musician expected to bring his signature sound and much-loved catalogue to the Malkerns stage.
The festival, presented by Goldex Events and Bambelela, will run from 10am to 10pm under the theme All White with a Touch of Yellow. It promises a full day of music, food and entertainment, with a star-studded line-up featuring Ringo Madlingozi, Amanda Black, Vusi Nova, Young Stunna, Mörda, Xowla, Young Zesh, Supta, Spokza, Gifted Kosie and several DJs.
MCs Somizi, Napo Modise and Asa D will also be part of the entertainment programme.
For fans planning to attend, ticket availability is becoming increasingly urgent. Organisers have advertised general tickets at E300 for adults, E250 for students and E200 for children aged three to 12, while children aged zero to two enter free. VIP tickets are priced at E800, and parking costs E50. Early-bird tickets are marked as sold out, with general ticket phases advertised as 90 per cent sold out.
Tickets are available through Computicket and MojaTicket, with organisers warning that no tickets will be sold at the gate. Empty cooler boxes are allowed.
As Eswatini prepares for the October 24 celebration, Madlingozi’s message is clear: the date is confirmed, the stage time is set, and fans who want to catch him live should plan ahead rather than risk missing the moment.
