MBABANE – Eswatini’s rising cultural music sensation Sancheziey is preparing to shake the Afro Pop scene with a cross-border collaboration featuring celebrated South African artists Aubrey Qwana and Senzo Afrika.

The artist recently confirmed that the trio recorded a new song titled Banemanga, a Cultural Afro Pop and Umgidvo-inspired track fused with Maskandi influences. According to Sancheziey, the song carries a powerful message of resilience and triumph despite negativity and doubt from society.

“Banemanga is simply a reassurance that where you are as a Liswati, South African or rather African is not by magic and you fought your way to your destiny, so whoever is betting on your failure is actually lying,” said Sancheziey.

He further explained that the song reflects African cultural teachings about spoken words and manifestation. “If I say they are lying that my failure will happen because of their wishes, those words go a long way,” he added.

The collaboration reportedly came together unexpectedly during Sancheziey’s visit to Sandton for a Reboot Session. The Eswatini artist revealed that he informed Senzo Afrika that he was in South Africa, which later led to a studio session with Aubrey Qwana.

“Much as I went in there, I had no thought that I would walk out of the room with a song, and yes, here we are now,” he said.

Sancheziey also noted that Senzo Afrika’s cultural influence in music made the collaboration feel natural despite the artists coming from different musical backgrounds.

Meanwhile, Senzo Afrika praised the Eswatini singer, describing him as “the future and a promising rising star.” In a social media statement, Senzo said their months-long online connection finally became reality when Sancheziey travelled to South Africa for the session.

Born from a strong cultural background, Sancheziey has built his name through traditional-inspired music that resonates deeply with emaSwati audiences. The artist believes fans from both Eswatini and South Africa will connect strongly with Banemanga because of its cultural essence and relatable message.

The song is expected to feature on Sancheziey’s upcoming album, although no official release date has yet been announced.
