Sayz whose real name is Saneliso Shongwe, grew up in Hlane, he often found himself singing during school assemblies and recording demos with friends. These early experiences ignited a passion for music within him, but self-doubt often crept in as he faced the challenges of gaining recognition in the industry. However, moments of reassurance fueled his creativity. “I wanted to be that voice saying, ‘Call me whenever you lose sight, I’ll be there holding your hand,’” he shared. This desire to support others became the foundation of his song, born from the idea that no one has to face their struggles alone.
