MBOMBELA– Eswatini entertainment duo Shepard Brothers are preparing to represent the Kingdom at the 12th Annual Sun Riders MCC Rally set to take place in Mbombela, South Africa, from June 12 to 14.
The popular biking and lifestyle festival is regarded as one of the region’s biggest events, attracting bikers, music fans and adventure lovers from across Southern Africa every year. This year’s edition will run under the theme “Safari – Live the Adventure”.
Shepard Brothers are among several artists expected to perform during the three-day gathering, alongside South African stars including Kevin Momo, Questo, The Josh and DI KARRI.
Speaking ahead of the event, the duo said returning to the rally means more than simply securing another performance opportunity.
“It means the world to be part of the Sun Riders MCC Rally. This is one of the biggest bike events not to miss,” said Shepard Brothers.
The duo explained that their relationship with the organisers has grown stronger since their first appearance at the rally in 2018.
“After debuting in 2018, our relationship and friendship has grown to be way more than just performer and organiser. We are now family. The club has accepted us as their own, and we have accepted them as our own,” they said.
The artists further shared that they are excited to take Swati culture and entertainment across the border once again while promoting Eswatini through music and performance.
“Our performance matches this theme because we are going to Mbombela with Swati vibes and energy. This is an opportunity for us to showcase that Eswatini also has a lot to offer tourists,” they added.
Apart from entertainment, the rally will also highlight tourism attractions found in Mpumalanga while giving attendees a full weekend experience filled with music, adventure and biker culture.
Shepard Brothers also credited the Sun Riders MCC Rally for helping open doors for them within South Africa’s entertainment industry.
“Sun Riders is the very first event to host us in South Africa. From their stage, we received so much love across Bikerville and managed to secure more bookings within and outside the biking community,” they said.
