MANZINI – The Inyatsi Schools Arts & Culture Drama & Theatre Competitions Group A results have been announced at Divine Healing Ministries in Manzini, revealing a tightly contested showcase of talent across sicathamiya, poetry, dance, and drama.
Schools from different regions delivered powerful performances that reflected creativity, discipline, and a strong appreciation of culture. In the sicathamiya category, Mkhondvo High School scored 68 points, presenting a performance rooted in harmony and cultural tradition that set a solid tone for the competition.
Poetry brought emotional depth to the stage, with Swazi National High School leading the category on 84 points. Lobamba National High School followed closely with 83 points, while Somnjalose High School secured 78 points. The performances stood out for their strong delivery and meaningful messages that touched on identity, society, and lived experiences.
The dance category added vibrant energy to the event, with Somnjalose High School dominating on 89 points. Lobamba National High School earned 75 points, while St Michaels High School followed with 72 points. The segment was marked by rhythm, coordination, and expressive movement that captivated the audience.
Drama performances also produced notable highlights, with Mkhondvo High School receiving recognition for Best Cameo (5A), while St Michaels High School was awarded Best Costume (4A). Swazi National High School’s Khetha earned Best Actor/Actress for a standout individual performance that impressed judges.
When the overall results were compiled, Mkhondvo High School (5A) finished with 63.5 points, Vulamasango High School (3A) secured 70.5 points, and Swazi National High School (6A) topped the group with 74 points to be crowned overall winners.
The results reflect the growing strength of arts and culture education in Eswatini, where learners continue to use the stage as a space for storytelling, cultural expression, and personal development. The Inyatsi Schools Arts & Culture programme remains a key platform for identifying and nurturing young creative talent across the country.
