MBABANE Eswatini’s fast-rising music powerhouse, Mabonwa Abulawe Records, has shook the local gospel and urban music landscape with the release of their bold new Trap Gospel anthem, Simayakayaka.

The single, which officially dropped on March 5, 2026, has enjoyed an explosive reception. According to label CEO Young Zesh, the track has already garnered over 4 900 views on YouTube in just a few days, alongside a wave of positive reviews. This rapid digital climb highlights a growing appetite for what the label calls “Ministry over 808s”—a sound that merges high-energy street culture with spiritual depth.

The track brings together a sonically dynamic and spiritually charged lineup, featuring JimiBoi SD, Young Zesh, and Lesia Musiq, alongside acclaimed collaborators Histo and Linda Dlamini. The polished production was handled by the veteran DJ Citie, with the single’s striking artwork crafted by Ncwiki Flex.

In an interview, Young Zesh described Simayakayaka as more than just a musical release; he positioned it as a deliberate artistic and spiritual statement. He noted that the project reflects the label’s long-standing mission to bridge the gap between contemporary trap aesthetics and divine truth.

Young Zesh explained that the inspiration behind the song was deeply personal, born out of lived experiences rather than mere studio sessions.

“The inspiration behind the song came from real-life testimonies—stories of survival, redemption, prayer, and perseverance,” he said. He further revealed that the song’s emotional core was shaped during intense spiritual moments. “This song was born out of prayer sessions, life struggles, and the desire to remind people that no matter how dark it gets, God still calls us by name.”

At its heart, Simayakayaka carries an urgent message for a generation grappling with modern-day hardships. Young Zesh emphasised that while the track confronts harsh realities such as depression, rejection, poverty, and temptation, its ultimate goal is to declare victory through faith.

“The message is simple but powerful: God is still in control,” the CEO stated. Beyond the rhythm, the project aims to reshape the personal narratives of listeners who may feel defined by their past mistakes. “We want listeners to understand that your past does not define you. Your mistakes do not cancel your purpose. There is grace, there is redemption, and there is restoration.”

Following the impressive debut, Young Zesh urged supporters and music lovers to keep the momentum going across all streaming services.

“We urge everyone to stream, share, and support this powerful Trap Gospel anthem on all digital platforms. Run it up, add it to your playlists, and share it with someone who needs encouragement,” he concluded.
