MANZINI – Nsingizini Hotspurs were officially crowned MTN Premier League of Eswatini champions for the 2025/26 season after battling to a dramatic 1-1 draw against Manzini Sea Birds at Somhlolo National Stadium, on May 24, 2026.
The championship victory marked another golden chapter for Hotspurs, who lifted the league title in style while also celebrating the unveiling of a brand-new trophy following the renewed sponsorship partnership between MTN Eswatini and the Premier League of Eswatini ahead of the new season.
With the pressure high and history within touching distance, Hotspurs showed exactly why they have been the dominant force throughout the campaign. Midfielder Mvuselelo Mthethwa ignited celebrations in the 36th minute after finding the back of the net to give Nsingizini a crucial 1-0 lead against a determined Sea Birds side.
The goal shifted momentum firmly in favour of the champions-elect as their supporters erupted in song, sensing that the title was finally secured. Throughout the match, Hotspurs displayed composure, tactical discipline, and the fighting spirit that has defined their remarkable season.
However, Manzini Sea Birds refused to surrender quietly. Deep into the encounter, Joseph stunned the champions with an 89th-minute equaliser that brought the stadium to life and ensured the contest ended in 1-1.
Despite conceding late, the final whistle sparked unforgettable scenes of celebration from the Hotspurs camp as players, technical staff, and supporters celebrated a hard-earned league triumph. The draw was enough to officially confirm Nsingizini Hotspurs as the kings of Eswatini football for the 2025/26 campaign.

Their growing dominance has also earned them continental recognition, with the club now representing Eswatini in CAF competitions.
