MBABANE – The Royal Signature Mega Raffle continues to gather momentum, with Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) Chief Executive Officer Sibani Mngomezulu saying ticket sales have demonstrated encouraging support from both local and regional buyers.
Providing an update during a press conference at Mountain View on Tuesday, Mngomezulu said EIPA continues to administer the raffle while intensifying resource mobilisation efforts ahead of the draw.
He said sales from both corporate organisations and individual buyers had continued, with a significant number of ticket purchases coming from within Eswatini.
Mngomezulu said the response from Emaswati had helped dispel earlier perceptions that locals would not participate in the ultra-premium initiative.
“I remember during the expo there were questions about whether Emaswati could afford the tickets. We have seen that Emaswati are indeed buying tickets,” he said.
He added that EIPA would provide a comprehensive progress update once further milestones in ticket sales had been achieved.
Tickets remain available through various sales platforms as EIPA continues its marketing campaign.
Beyond the local market, Mngomezulu said EIPA had taken the promotion of the raffle to neighbouring countries, including Mozambique and Zimbabwe, where investment promotion activations were conducted.
During those engagements, he said, the raffle attracted considerable interest from prospective buyers and investors who wanted to learn more about both the initiative and Eswatini’s broader investment agenda.
He said the campaign has also helped increase awareness of Eswatini as an investment destination by generating conversations beyond the country’s borders.
The Royal Signature Mega Raffle offers participants an opportunity to win several luxury prizes, including a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin Vantage, Mercedes-Maybach and high-value jewellery.
Each ticket costs E200,000.
Mngomezulu stressed that EIPA continues working to mobilise resources while ensuring the raffle is administered in accordance with the established framework.
He said interest from both local and regional markets demonstrated growing confidence in the initiative.
According to Mngomezulu, investment promotion requires innovative approaches capable of capturing international attention while creating opportunities to market the country’s competitive advantages.
He said the raffle has become one of the initiatives supporting that broader objective by exposing Eswatini to audiences that may not previously have considered the country as an investment destination.
Mngomezulu reiterated that EIPA remains committed to attracting investment that contributes to economic growth, industrial development and employment creation.
He said further updates on ticket sales and the overall progress of the initiative would be communicated in due course.
The Royal Signature Mega Raffle forms part of a series of investment promotion activities being implemented by EIPA to strengthen the country’s international investment profile while supporting broader economic development objectives.
