MBABANE – In a major step toward strengthening Eswatini’s digital transformation agenda, the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) has officially launched the National Content Creators Register, a strategic initiative aimed at formalising, supporting and empowering the country’s growing creative sector.
The initiative forms part of a broader national vision to build a sustainable digital economy by recognising content creators as key contributors to innovation, employment creation, and economic growth. The register is designed to establish a comprehensive national database of digital creators, strengthening engagement between government and the creative industry while unlocking structured support and development opportunities.
According to the Ministry, the register will serve as a key tool in connecting creators to future training programmes, strategic partnerships, and monetisation opportunities, ensuring that digital talent across Eswatini is better positioned to benefit from the rapidly expanding creator economy.
The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM), reinforcing a coordinated approach to digital sector development, regulation, and innovation.
To enhance accessibility, the registration process has been integrated into the Government In Your Hand (GIYH) mobile application, allowing content creators to register conveniently via their smartphones. In addition, creators may access the registration form through the official online portal: https://forms.gle/feUuxgrhs1tafZ4M7 or by scanning the QR code provided on official communication materials.
The Ministry has urged all content creators in Eswatini—including digital influencers, videographers, photographers, bloggers, and online entrepreneurs—to register promptly in order to benefit from upcoming government-led initiatives aimed at strengthening the creative economy.
The public and creative community have also been encouraged to engage on social media using the hashtags: #DigitalEswatini, #ContentCreators, #CreatorEconomy, #ICT4Development, and #EswatiniCreators.
Through this initiative, the Ministry aims to ensure that no creator is left behind in Eswatini’s digital transformation journey, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and sustainable economic empowerment within the country’s evolving digital landscape.
