EZULWINI- Ezulwini-born rapper Pollar B turns pain into purpose with “Gang Bro.”
At just 24, Lutsandvo Kabelo Mabuza, known by his stage name Pollar B, is fast becoming one of the most emotionally charged and fearless voices in Eswatini’s evolving trap and rap landscape. Hailing from eMnyokane and now based in Gelekeceni, Ezulwini, his journey began at Somnjalose High School in 2016, where his quiet admiration for school rappers soon turned into an undeniable passion.
But for Pollar B, music wasn’t born from comfort, it was born from pain. “I’ve always felt like something was missing in me,” he reflects. Growing up in a space where joy felt distant, he turned to music as a sanctuary, a place to pour out emotions too heavy for conversation. Through the lens of emo rap, he discovered that vulnerability could be strength.
His first recording came through Ali Sign, and though access to studios and beats was often limited, he never stopped writing. His determination caught the attention of King Mzesh of High Hopes Records, who offered him a recording opportunity that led to their track “Million.” The experience reinforced his belief that he could transform pain into art and stand among the very artists he once admired.
He went on to release “Deceit” produced by B.List, collaborate with artists like Rasty Clay, Problem B, Money Puzzle, Jukestar, and Lyri Rapper, and later dropped “Excuse Me” under C.I.V Entertainment, produced by Rider. Each release peeled back another layer of his truth.
Now, with his latest single “Gang Bro”, Pollar B delivers what may be his most powerful statement yet. The track, produced by Lvd the Producer and recorded by King Mzesh, paints a vivid picture of survival in a world where gang culture, loss, and hardship shape young lives. Mixed and mastered by DJ Citie, it balances haunting production with raw authenticity.
“I rap because I refuse to drown quietly,” Pollar B declares.
Though he has only performed once, at Corner Plaza during a Luxy Garden Restaurant event, he’s spent years perfecting his craft. Inspired by artists like NF, Hopsin, Dax, and K.B Mike, his artistry is built on honesty, not hype.
With “Gang Bro”, Pollar B isn’t just making music, he’s telling his story, giving voice to pain, and turning struggle into strength.
The single is now available on YouTube, Audiomack, and SoundCloud under Pollar B (Swazi straight frm de mud). Follow him on TikTok: PollarB01 and Facebook: Thando Mabuza.
